ENC’s A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers will perform at New York City’s famed Lincoln Center next week, joining with three other schools from across the nation in a concert performance of Faure’s Requiem.
To be presented at 8 p.m. Tuesday April 12 in Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall, the concert will feature the ENC choir performing with professional soloists as well as other choral groups from schools in Florida and Kentucky. Prior to performing at Lincoln Center, the A Cappella Choir will conduct choral workshops with local high school students and perform at a number of churches in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut as part of its annual spring tour.
Founded in 1938, ENC’s A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers has toured the world, with members performing in such locations as Austria, Germany, Romania and at Boston’s own Jordan Hall, where the choir is scheduled to perform at 4 p.m. Sunday April 17. The Chamber Singer’s next international tour is scheduled for May, when the group will perform throughout Scandinavia.
