Eastern Nazarene College will hold its spring commencement exercises on the college’s front lawn at 2:30 pm on Saturday May 4, when graduates will receive associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Guest speaker at this year’s commencement will be Dr. Eugenio Duarte, a general superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene. Prior to assuming his position as general superintendent, Dr. Duarte served as the Africa regional director for the denomination. He also previously served as a teacher and director of the Seminario Nazareno de Cabo Verde (SNCV).

A native of Cape Verde, Dr. Duarte studied at SNCV and received his master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University in California. He received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Africa Nazarene University in 2006. Dr. Duarte's full bio is available for download (PDF).
