Symphonic Winds Seeks Community and Student Musicians
Published: 2013-08-21

Do you play an instrument? Adults from the Greater Boston and South Shore area are welcome to play with the ENC Symphonic Winds ensemble, which includes ENC students as well as local professional musicians.

“The Symphonic Winds Ensemble offers a great opportunity for former high school band members to dust off their cases and get back into the spirit of musical performance,” said Professor Stephen Bell, the group’s director. “It is a much valued art form, and the community appreciates the free concerts we perform during the year.”

High school students are also welcome to join the ensemble, Bell noted, with the recommendation of their high school music director.

There is no fee for participating in the ensemble, which rehearses Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30pm in the Cove Fine Arts Center on the Eastern Nazarene College campus in Wollaston. Rehearsals begin September 4. For more information on joining the ensemble, please e-mail your name, contact information and the instrument you play to scbell1@comcast.net.
