Dr. Massey began teaching in fall 2004. He teaches "Introduction to Psychology," a core class, and others such as the "Senior Psychology Seminar." Prior to coming to ENC, he was coordinating a research and treatment program for psychological trauma as well as teaching at North Shore University Hospital in New York. He was involved in helping EMS personnel regarding trauma related to emergency services. He has completed a journal article and has given presentations specifically about the impact of Sept. 11 on emergency responders. Dr. Massey is co-authoring a mental health consultation manual for emergency personnel and has coordinated a trauma-focused counseling and outreach program following Sept. 11. He lives in Quincy with his wife and twin daughters.
