Faculty Profile: Dr. Janet Lanham

Dr. Lanham has been teaching at ENC since 1982 and served as dean of students from 1990 to 1998. She is a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts, has set up therapy groups in the Quincy area for female adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and maintains a small therapy practice in Quincy. She teaches in the many areas of psychology, and is a specialist in student development, counseling in women’s issues, and sexual abuse issues. She co-authored the book Choices: In Pursuit of Wholeness. Dr. Lanham also teaches the "Field Experience" class at ENC for junior and senior psychology majors. Dr. Lanham has placed students in positions in the neuropsychiatric unit at Quincy Hospital, residential programs, and many others. She has been advisor to several graduating classes at ENC, most recently the class of 2002. She lives in Quincy with her husband and sons.
