Biographical Notes
Professor Brandes has been teaching at ENC since 1964. His areas of expertise are in music theory, organ, and acoustics of music. A member of the American Guild of Organists, he gives frequent recital and concert performances, the most notable of which include performances in Austria with the U.S. Government-appointed Tour Chorus, performances at Disney World, and a performance of personal compositions before an audience of 15,000 at the Charlotte Coliseum. Professor Brandes is also in charge of facilitating students of music with employment in positions such as church organist, choir master, accompanist, or private instructor. He is currently the organist for Wollaston Church of the Nazarene and Christ Lutheran Church in Scituate, Mass. He lives with his wife in Marshfield, Mass.
