Biographical Notes

  • Paulo has strong ties to ENC as an adjunct professor as well as a graduate of ENC’s Social Work Department. He received a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College and is certified as a mental health counselor; he received Massachusetts Education Certification as a school social worker and school adjustment counselor for all levels. As an added advantage for work in this field of expertise, he is a certified by the Office of the Attorney General as a conflict resolution trainer/instructor and is a certified family mediator.

    His experience spans a wide variety of milieus of interest for students who plan careers in his departments: urban schools, therapy, protective services social worker, mediator, as well as facilitating clinical groups. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and Cape Verdean Creole.
