Thank you for your interest in the Eastern Nazarene College / Massasoit Community College Bachelor’s of Education Degree Completion Program.

Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) and Massasoit Community College (MCC) have entered into a collaborative agreement that enables Massasoit students to complete an Initial Teacher Licensure program on the MCC Brockton campus in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.

The two institutions have established an agreement that allows students to finish their first two years of teacher preparation at MCC, earning an Associate’s Degree. Students will then complete the final components of the Initial Licensure program through ENC. Upon successful completion of the ENC component of the program, students earn a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree with a double major in either Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education and Liberal Arts. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be recommended for Initial Licensure as an Elementary Teacher (grades 1-6) or Early Childhood Teacher (grades pre K-2) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Both institutions will advise students regarding the progression of courses to be taken and understand the various resources that are available at the two institutions. The goal is to provide a seamless transition from one institution to the other.

The program provides many opportunities for students to complete field experience in public school classrooms for both theoretical and practical experiences. The program will conclude with a 300 hour student teaching experience.
