ENC Gospel Choir Mission Statement (created by the ENC Gospel Choir ’06)
“The mission of the ENC Gospel Choir is to serve as an instrument of God by preparing an environment of worship, exalting the Most High in praise through song, and by communicating the message of Jesus Christ through acts of love and service to each other and to our community.”
About the ENC Gospel Choir
The ENC Gospel Choir is one the college's musical ensembles. The choir has had a rich history of leading the college campus in worship during chapel services and other special events. In addition, the choir has been privileged to represent God as well as the college in music ministry at various churches and events throughout the East Coast Region. The choir typically travels at least 2-3 times a school year. Amongst these ministry opportunities, the choir has been privileged to sing for events such as the M11 Conference in Kansas City, and Festival of Life.
The choir takes pride in its celebration of community, worship to God, and it's diversity of cultures, backgrounds and talents. It is comprised not only of singers and musicians, but also gifted poets, dancers, mimers, actors and artists. These talents have been incorporated as part of the choir's worship sets making the ministry an impacting experience.
The Gospel Choir's musical ministry incorporates a variety of styles, lending from traditional hymns and Gospel music to contemporary praise and worship, Christian contemporary and contemporary Gospel. The choir's journey explores a worldwide musical celebration of praise infused by diverse styles, rhythms, and cultural influences. In addition, students will learn the basics of healthy vocal production and musical interpretation.
But, most importantly, we have great time and fun WORSHIPPING THE KING!
