The Donald E. Reed Instructional Resources Center

The Donald E. Reed Instructional Resources Center (IRC), located on the ground floor of Nease Library, includes a collection of non-print materials and equipment for listening and viewing. Library users may obtain CD's, audiocassettes, video tapes and other non-print materials by asking at the IRC desk. The center also includes

• Creative work space for large projects
• Supplies, and services to support education faculty and students in classroom projects curriculum assignments and student teaching
• The curriculum library, including print material and manipulatives, and a comprehensive book collection for children and young adults are also found on the ground floor
• The Academic Reserve Desk, which houses course items from certain professors

• Children's literature collection
• Curriculum collections and manipulatives
• Non print collection - audio cassettes, CD's, videotapes
• Software and CD ROM programs

 

Equipment:

• Computer stations for use with educational software
• Color Printer and Copy machine
• Dry mount press
• Ellison and Accu-cut die-cut presses and die-cut collection
• In-house use of CD players and headphones
• Light table
• Listening and viewing carrels

• Art/Graphic supplies & services
• Color Copier and Printer ($0.50/pg)
• Lamination ($0.50/ft for 18"; $0.75/ft for 25")
• Opaque projector
• Roll paper in multiple colors

 

Hours

The Instructional Resources Center maintains the same hours of operation as the Nease Library. Hours change for holidays and summer- vacations.  Call 617-745-3841 for questions
