Undergraduate Research

This is an exciting time to be involved in ENC's Physics and Engineering Department with great research opportunities available to students all year round. 

Physics students are actively involved in the following research areas:

  • REU-Research Experiences for Undergraduates
  • Astrophysics
  • MEMS-Microelectromechanical systems
  • Differential Interference Contrast Microscopy

Engineering students are actively involved in the following research areas:

  • Renewable Energy
  • REU-Research Experiences for Undergraduates
  • Signal and Image Processing
  • Cloud Computing
  • Earthquake monitoring

Students also participated in the following research areas:

  • Electrical Properties of Semiconducting nanowires
  • Electrical Properties of Superconducting nanowires
  • Autonomous underwater vehicles
