Chemistry Career Choices

Chemists work in industries ranging from multinational corporations to small entrepreneurial firms. An entry-level B.S. or B.A. chemist may analyze and test products, work in technical sales or service, work to streamline processes for efficiency or cost savings, or assist senior chemists in a research laboratory. Many chemists work on research and development projects, in pilot plants and factories. Others are active in quite different roles which include consulting, medical research, financial analysis, sales and marketing, and management.
