Wireless Internet Access at ENC

Wireless network access is available across campus in most buildings and a few outdoor areas. Two types of access are available: Secure (ENC Student) and Open (ENC Guest) Access. Students are advised to use secure wireless as it provides greater bandwidth, more access rights and encryption for privacy.

What do I need for Guest Wireless Access?

To use ENC's Guest wireless access, you need visibility to the ENC Guest wireless network using a wireless network adapter compatible with 802.11b or 802.11g.  You also need a computer running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Mac OSX with the latest updates. It is also possible to access the ENC Guest network with some wireless mobile devices. Where there is sufficient signal strength, the ENC Guest wireless network should be immediately visible when you view your wireless networks. However, additional configuration may be required. Please see links below for configuration information.

WARNING
ENC Guest should not be used to transmit confidential information as it may be possible for others to view it.
